It will need to be put on the web hosting machine in the document root or below, one of your pages ( maybe index.html, or index.php, will need to point to or re-direct to it. You will also need to work out what you need to do with the login information. The standard way is to pass registration details to a mysql database fro comparison when the user logs in.

How do I host a script elsewhere, then use HTML code to embed in my site?
I run a website from an on the web template system, so I cannot upload a script with these requirements:

cPanel suggested + PHP+ MySql

Is there a way to host this script elsewhere, then use an HTML code to embed it in my template site? This would help me to keep a new service on my current site rather than having to link to another.

Put your new site where you want it, then point your DNS entry to your new site. Or, if you cannot control the DNS, put a permanent redirect header on your old page pointing to your new site.

I checked out the CP portion with all of the specifics, but I do not comprehend what any of it means. I know a tiny about html, enough to make a website, but where would I put it? It mentioned something about Frontpage, but is it something I have to have already or does Hostgator come with it? Where do I put the code to actually make a site? What does all of this mumbo jumbo mean?

There is not really anything you can do without purchasing a webhosting package somewhere that grants you to install CGI/PHP scripts to run your own messageboard there instead……. that is what I did, since I got sick of free messageboards becoming paid only services only and shutting down on me + not being able to hardly do jacksh*t with them to get them working how I wanted.

A good messageboard script to host your own is YaBB

Windows Script Host Error…
Cannot find Script File
c:\Document and settings\username\boot.vbs

frequently and iam unable to switch over to other process…
Please get me the solution…..
I think it a virus which caused by pen drive…a two day back…when iam facing desktop itself im getting Windows script host error multiple times..how can i solve this issue?

boot.vbs is not a Windows file that I am aware of … .vbs files are Visual Basic Scripting files and might have been loaded by some application you have installed or might be part of a Virus / Trojan hacking attempt … (the other possibility is that it’s part of a customised School (or Company) Domain log-in process ..)

Plainly Windows has been ‘instructed’ to RUN this file at start-up.. either by the Registry or by something in Begin / Programs / Startup …. (check that first)

If it’s not something in the Startup folder, you will have to check the Registry = I recommend using HijackThis to see what is being RUN…

You might want to think about using WinPatrol or similar to prevent future stuff being installed to RUN without your knowledge ..

These days a lot of software tries to ‘run’ at boot-up … this grants them to ‘preload’ themselves for quicker launching .. the downside being that everything that preloads at start-up adds to the already unacceptable begin up delays .. especially if the ‘uninstaller’ ‘forgets’ to remove all the Registry entries and your Computer is trying to RUN stuff that doesn’t exist anymore ..

Other software installs ‘phone home’ components that randomly use your World wide web connection (and can lockup your Computer if the web is down) in order to ‘check for updates’ (or, in the case of Dell Printers, inform Dell of each page you print so Dell can send you junk eMails of the ‘your Printer is nearly out of Ink please click here to be ripped off (pay excessive prices for our ink)’ type…
