Cron jobs. I need to use cron jobs on my site, geocities does not “support” cron jobs…?
I am building a gaming website, the game I am developing right now is a easy text based game which uses “turns”, I need to run a cron job which will run a php script each 10 minutes to update player ranks/stats/etc. Is there an outside source/program/server add-on I can get for FREE to run cron jobs for me? I tried a remote cron site and it doesnt seem to work, I think yahoo wont grant it access to my files or something ;’(
I am a PAID SUBSCRIBER to yahoo’s geocities hosting service. I have mysql and php, hence my game is written in php. I need to find a way to simply run one script on my site each 10 minutes, a cron job. I have mysql, php, perl, and all that other need supported things. I know yahoo doesnt “support” crontabs but theres nothing to state they wont let me run them anyways using a piece of software or remote website…. ?

Geocities web site script problem?
One of the pages on my Geocities web site uses JavaScript to open images in a pop-up window. It tests fine locally and when editing with File Manager. But when viewed online, the Yahoo server inserts its own script in the document head, which interferes with my script, therefore my pop-up images do not work. I never had this problem until recently. How can I correct this?
