Are You Making Money With Adsense?
I just added some Google Adsense codes to my sites about a month ago, and was amazed when I got a check from Google. This is pretty astonishing because I did not do anything except add some java script to my sites. Even though it was only 0 and that is not going to make me rich, I am excited. Is anyone out there making money with Adsense? How are you getting all the traffic to your site to get more exposure to your sites? Are you using a blog or website? I have a blog and you can see it here http://www.realbizlist.com I also have a couple of websites. If anyone wants to share how they get more traffic I am all ears.

That would work. You have to launch the Script Editor application then paste in that code then click the Run button for it to do a word count.
The Script Editor should be found in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder.
Then paste the following into the Script Editor window:
tell application “TextEdit”
count words of document 1
end tell
Then click the Run button.

As far as AppleScripts, I recommend you using Automator if you have Tiger or Leopard for creating AppleScripts easily. You can simply drag and drop pre-made scripts from this program.
I love using TextEdit, and use it daily, but I’m afraid that it doesn’t offer a word or character count feature. There are 3rd party programs for counting words with TextEdit or other word processors.

Yeah, the payments can be low, but it’s all about streams of income. For me, AdSense is just there in case the visitors don’t buy anything else!
Having said that, some sites can make good money ($1,000+ per month) just with the AdSense revenue. It’s all about attracting buyers who want to click an advert. Other than that, it’s just a traffic game…
Assuming that you are only trying to generate revenue with AdSense, here are a few top tips:
The first thing to look at is the content and keywords.
As I often say : Keywords drive Content, and not the other way around.
First things first. Impressions do not equal revenue. Revenue comes from actions – the visitors must click *away* from your site/page for you to make money.
Once you understand that, you can begin to make money.
A visitor that clicks must first be in a buying mood. This means that you need to be targeting keyword phrases that bring in visitors who have a need or desire.
From a current AdSense keyword project that I’m working on, an example of a need is ‘free business plan for gift basket business’. A desire might be ‘how to gift basket businesses’.
These are very loose examples, but both of the above will click on an advert that satisfy their need/desire.
Next, you need to use the AdSense keyword research tool to find out how much the clicks are going to be worth, and target the most profitable ones with your content.
