GAME CREATION BEGINNER?

Question by INeeDHelP!:
Game Creation Beginner?
Hello. Me and a couple of friends decided to take the long way and create a SIMPLE game (don’t tell me “you cannot make crysis” , i know it!) . None of us have enough experience, and only I had some experience with turbo pascal. So as far as I know, I need to learn as scripting language. But about other aspects, whats skills should be learned by all members? (for mapping, modelling, game engines, general knowledge etc). And what is a good beginning? AGAIN: DO NOT TELL ME WHAT I CAN’T DO, WE KNOW THAT IT NEEDS A LOT OF WORK! I just want to have some starting advice. Thank you!
And about members, we have some other people in mind who could contribute to the project. So, if you have any site (except gamedev.org which I am aware of) post it please.

Well for starters you need someone to draw from background to you are characters. If you are doing real game (not a flash) then you need to learn programing or you should tell them what to do (organize).Making a game is like making a flash game only longer.

Don’t let your inexperience hold you back, some of the most fun games I’ve ever played were written in a day or two.
I’d recommend downloading a copy of XNA and Microsoft Visual Studio C# Express. Both are a free download and together they provide a game framework that you can start building upon immediately for both the PC and XBox 360. The help documentation that comes with them provides plenty of examples showing how to do some of the more commonly-required features of game development. There’s also a lot of support by way of online forums where other developers will help you out.
Good luck, and I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for your game!
