QUESTION ABOUT ADSENSE…(GOOGLE)?

Question by MellissaGorecki.com:
Question about adsense…(google)?
I signed up for and was approved by Adsense for my site.
I also opted in for the “alternative ad” (when no other ads are available)
When I go to my site, Only the substitute ad is shown. However, I do have content on my site. I am kind of confused? Is there really “no content available” (seems impossible…) or did I do something wrong in the scripting?
In addition, I am using wordpress. My site is a blog, and my adsense script is implemented in the right tab widget along with my other ads.
********** EDIT***********
So I seem to have fixed that problem… new problem..
Adsense unrelated to my content of site
I use wordpress
For example, I have ads on the right hand side (widget).. same panel as my Adsense ad
Making my adsense ad unrelated to the BLOG CONTENT — but more affiliated with the other ads around it.
How do I make my adsense ad more on topic with what I have in my blog content
thanks !

Part one:
)
The alternative ads are shown if Google has no ads for your content, OR, if Google doesn’t yet know what your content is about! They will send their Adsense Spider to check soon, but untill then, you will have to bare these alternative ads…
Part Two (or check your other question
Use these tags around your posts to tell Google what your targeted content is and what is not:
Place your post here
Then give Google some time to have its spider (the google adsense spider, it is a different one then the google search engine spider!) take another look at your website and see what it needs to target the ads at.
