Can you make six figures with an on the web business?
Hi. I would really like to quit my job and make a six figure income from home, preferably online. However, I have been getting emails on many different programs, but I am not sure if they are scams. Also, I was wandering if anyone knew any good ways to make a lot of money online.
1. People have told me about a program called GDI (Global Domains International). It states you refer other people and you get $ 1 per person, and a dollar for each person they refer and so on and so on, down five lines. Is this a scam? Has anyone tried it?
2. I cannot design websites from scratch, but I can make a website with weebly, freewebs, etc. (drag and drop). Some people have told me I should build websites about certain topics, put google adsense and affiliate products on the site, and then sell the site after a few months. The problem is, this will take long to start, and I would probably only get 200-1000 per site if I am lucky.
3. Other people have told me that I should purchase a website script, that you install and creates a user interactive website. I have found a script that lets users submit and share their own music, and another one which is sort of like a Linkedin kind of website. Both of the scripts cost money however. But, I do not think just ads and affiliate revenue alone could make me six figures.
So, does anyone have any superior ideas? What about programs like GDI that aren’t scams? Please help me.

1. Google ‘pyramid scheme” – the pyramid eventually falls and you never get the money.
2. Plenty of children out there designing websites on the cheap – just visit any engineering college.
(or even high school)
3. Not sure if you can make 100K a year doing #3…

if you mean a Microsoft Word document, then go to Tools–>options–>security tab–>click on unlock button

application used to open file
what you mean by “locked” (this may be clarified already by your other answers)

There are many various ways your document could have been locked without you doing it. Most of them typically involve Viruses and other Malware, stuff you don’t want on your computer. There are ways of unlocking your document, many of them to complex to explain here. I can offer you aid if you would like, e-mail me at my e-mail here at yahoo and I’ll see what I can do.

What you want is what pretty much everone wants.
It takes time and effort to build a business online or off-online. Sorry, there is no magic wand or money tree just waiting to be picked.
I haven’t tried GDI, but it sounds like a scam. If you only get $ 1 per person, think of how many people you will need to sign up and continue to sign up each and every year to meet your income goal. How many people will want to buy a domain? Pretty soon you will run out of people to sign up and the income will stop.
I think a common product that most households or people buy several times per year, use and replace would be a more dependable continuous source of income than selling domains, but you need to find something unique that has some features that distinguishes your product from all of the competing products.
There are numerous affiliate programs, but you need to work on learning how to drive traffic to your website or blog to get sales. You need to have good content about a particular topic and include links to products related to your topics in helpful a non-spammy way. Just plastering banners all over the place or spamming people is not very effective.
